Fly fishing with Andy Puyans is pure decadence! Oh, not in the way of an ultra-fancy resort - but in the way of absolutely superb fishing with the best guides in the area who treat you with an extra bit of respect just becuase you are fishing with Andy and they recognize you wouldn't be there if fly fishing wasn't important to you. Bonnie and I have joined Andy on the Bighorn (twice) and on the Green River, and every year look forward to seeing where he is headed.

After taking the Idaho Seminar, I've accompanied Andy on 4 or 5 trips. My personal favorite is the Bighorn because of the differences in the fishing from day to day, and even from hour to hour. I usually take 3 rods: one for dry, one for nymphs and one to shoot streamers .. during the trip. I'll use them all on the Green River, reportedly has more fish per mile than any other American river. I believe it. The dry's were challenging, but Andy-selected guides believed me when I said I'd rather stay and cast to one I could see than look for others, and eventually I brought some in! One of the real attractions of the Green is the environs .. as beautiful as you will see anywhere in the world (and I've been looking). Lots of wild life, very remote ... peaceful.
